i didn’t intend to reference 2002 so much but the mix starts off with a song from the blade 2 soundtrack where rappers were paired with electronic producers (eve & fatboy slim, oakenfold & ice cube, gorillaz & redman, etc) and groove armada produced this track with trina and rah digga featuring one of my favorite verses from trina.

hot in herre came out that same year when i was 13 and i played a ripped version from bearshare during one of our daytime school dances. i still remember having our movements regulated while we danced with the lights on 😅 and the remix here is my first time finding a decent remix of it since it came out. there’s two craig david remixes in here that are both essential, and a remix of yummy that i can’t stop replaying.
